Federal, State, and Local Criminal Matters

Attorneys at LefflerPhillips have been named among the best criminal defense attorneys in Fairfax County and the surrounding Northern Virginia area. Clients accused of criminal conduct need prompt action, an understanding of their legal rights, strong representation to help them deal with law enforcement and prosecutors, as well as navigate the Virginia court system. We understand that the long-term effects of a criminal record often have a more serious impact on the client than the immediate punishment for the offense.

Expungements

In some circumstances in Virginia, criminal records may be expunged, that is sealed and removed from public view. Such circumstances include dropped charges and acquittal. If a client’s record may legally be expunged, we can petition the court for relief. Just as important, we counsel clients when expungement is not warranted or, in our opinion, not cost-effective.
