Biography:

Rodney Leffler has tried hundreds of civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States and is one of the most experienced trial lawyers in Virginia. His broad background in the legal and criminal justice system gives him a unique perspective on both civil and criminal case strategies. His experience includes:

  • Fairfax County police officer
  • Instructor at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy
  • Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County
  • Substitute Judge for 18 years in Northern Virginia
  • Adjunct Professor of Law
  • Frequent lecturer on ethics before the Criminal Law Section of the Virginia State Bar and the Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council
  • He may be the only trial lawyer in Virginia who has worked as a police officer, police academy instructor, and prosecutor, law professor, and substitute judge.
